About NACS

The National Association for Chemical Security (NACS) was officially established in 2021 and registered under Regn. No. GUJ/22021/Ahmedabad (dated 24th November 2021). It is also registered with NGO Darpan (Unique ID: GJ/2024/0411987). Committed to enhancing chemical security at the national level, NACS holds 12A and 80G certifications, enabling tax exemptions and donor benefits.

The idea for its formation emerged during the Indo-US Workshop on Chemical Security in 2018, held at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam, in collaboration with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and the Chemical Security Program (CSP) of the U.S. Department of State. Since then, NACS has actively collaborated with PNNL, CRDF Global, and leading Indian institutions to organize a series of Indo-US Workshops on Chemical Security across premier academic and research institutes such as CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad; National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) Gujarat, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad; Panjab University, Chandigarh; Pandit Deendayal Energy University(PDEU), Gujarat; Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT), Gurugram; CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat etc.

NACS is an association of highly experienced professionals from academia, industry, and regulatory bodies who are dedicated to strengthening chemical security in India. The organization is led by a distinguished team of office bearers, including senior academicians, researchers, and industry experts from premier institutions.

With its dedicated leadership and expert advisory board, NACS continues to play a pivotal role in advancing chemical security initiatives across India and fostering a culture of safety and security in the chemical sector.
